Busy, busy, busy...it's always a good thing :)

Delovely Designs is busy, busy, busy these days as I am currently working on numerous projects and a few new design offerings as well. I will of course be posting about these projects as I complete them and will share the final results here in my blog. Some of my current projects include quite a few monogram design orders, two company logo creations as well as working on several new templates for monograms, save-the-dates and invitations. On a personal note, I am also in the process of designing an invitation for my son's upcoming birthday party and will also post the finished product within the next couple of weeks. Lastly, with the holidays around the corner, I am also about to begin working on some designs for holiday cards as well. Be on the lookout for updates over the coming days and weeks :)

Tambi and Mark's Wedding Monograms

Tambi contacted me recently to create some monograms for her and her fiance's upcoming wedding in October of next year. The couple had already selected a somewhat traditional, yet very stylish color palette of rich browns, rusty oranges and deep Merlot red tones for their wedding decor and wanted all of these colors represented in a few different monograms for them to use in various ways for their special day. Below are the final designs that I created for them using these wonderful warm fall tones.

"Love is sweet!"

Custom favor labels are another great way to personalize any event or special occasion. Below are some favor labels and candy buffet signs that I created recently for Jennifer and Raymond for their upcoming wedding reception. Jennifer contacted me and told me that she wanted something cute, fun and unique for their candy buffet and favor boxes and also provided me with a copy of their gorgeous invitations from which I drew the inspiration for the delicate floral and leaf patterned designs for the favor labels. I loved the combination of the deep brown, violet and lilac tones and had an absolute blast designing the quirky, yet elegant signs for their candy buffet display.

Carrie and Adam

Carrie contacted me at the beginning of the year to create a few monogram designs that she and her fiance, Adam, had planned on using as personalized accents for their upcoming wedding. The couple had selected a vibrant and fun color palette of vivid raspberry tones and fiery persimmon orange hues which complimented one another perfectly, especially for a lovely summer wedding. Below are a couple of pictures that Carrie forwarded to me after the wedding displaying how they used the monograms on their unity candle and program cover. They were both thrilled with the end results and I was so happy to be a small part of their special day!

Coming Soon.....Company Logo

I'm currently working on a new company logo for Pretoria Castle, a fabulous custom hangbag company that is looking to provide a fresh and modern approach to vintage inspired hangbags and travel pieces. Lilliana Vazquez and her partner, Lauren Merlino, have almost 10 years of experience in the fashion industry and are looking for a fresh new logo to debut with their new handbag launch coming soon. I am extremely excited to be creating such a fun and unique design and cannot wait to share the final results once the logo design has been completed.

Modern Monograms

When Jane contacted me regarding designing some monograms for her upcoming wedding in April of next year I was completely thrilled to take part in creating a beautiful personalized accent for her to use for her special day. When she told me that she and her fiance were having a very modern, yet elegant wedding and that they really wanted to reflect that same modern vibe within their monogram design, I was even more excited as I have been wanting to work on some modern themed designs for quite some time now. Jane and Aaron had selected an amazing color palette of espresso brown, crisp white tones and vibrant turquoise hues that I absolutely loved especially for a modern, chic wedding set in Manhattan. I decided to create designs that were a bit edgy and youthful, but still wanted to reflect and maintain a very clean and linear artistic appeal. They loved how the final designs turned out and were also completely amazed at how the contrasting color palette worked so perfectly with the fun modern designs that I created for them. Here are the final results!

How it all began......

Just a little history behind Delovely Designs and how it came to be....

I have actually had a strong interest in beginning my own company designing custom announcements, monograms, invitations and more for quite some time now, but I truly started thinking seriously about it and became quite passionate about it when I designed the birth announcement & holiday photo card for my own son last year. Having already been working in the wedding industry for over a year at the time, I had already become really interested and fascinated with all of the wonderful details that go along with weddings and wedding planning, but I had also started having a special fondness for all of the personal details involved in planning, announcing and celebrating special occasions such as births, holidays, bridal & baby showers, birthday parties, etc. With this in mind, I decided to take a stab, so to speak, at designing my own son's combo birth announcement & holiday card and realized immediately that this was something that I truly enjoyed doing and definitely wanted to pursue on a higher level. Now, almost a year later, I am completely thrilled to say that my passion for creating these very special details is still thriving and I am so excited for what is to come. With the holidays right around the corner, I thought that I would share the very special birth announcement & holiday card that started it all.......

Pink & Green....

Speaking of pink and green and how hot of a color combination it is these days, check out some other monogram designs that I have created over the past few months in the ever popular color palette.

Apples & Peonies

With summer coming close to an end, I thought that I'd share this lovely outdoor summer wedding that was featured on Brides.com. Pink and green is a quite popular color combination these days especially when it comes to weddings and baby showers and for obvious reasons. These vibrant tones perfectly compliment one another and truly provide an alluring look when used together. I love the whole "Gatsby-esque" appeal of this wedding and the delightful croquet themed accents that tie the entire affair together fabulously and provide an additional preppy flair. The gorgeous centerpieces designed using stunning white ceramic urns piled high with charming green apples and clusters of abundant floral blooms including lush hydrangea blossoms and delicate peonies in varying shades of elegant pink tones are striking creations of Michelle Rago event design. I absolutely adore everything about this darling wedding especially the cute old-fashioned bicycles accented with baskets filled with bundles of fresh floral, a "Just Married" sign and filled with wooden croquet balls and mallots.

Custom Beverage Labels

Another great way to add a chic personal accent to your special event is custom bottle labels. From bridal and baby showers to birthday parties or even beach house or lake gatherings, adding a custom label to any beverage available to your guests is a simple and cost effective way to personalize the special occasion. Water bottle labels are an obvious choice, but you can also add labels to other beverage options for your guests such as mini soda bottles, bottles of your favorite "vino" or even petite bottles of chocolate milk that can be served at a milk and cookie bar, which by the way is one of my favorite new wedding trends. Below are some water bottle labels that I created for Jennifer and Jason for their upcoming wedding. I created a variety of custom monograms in their wedding color palette of turquoise and chocolate brown and then integrated the same monograms within four different label designs that they will use to embellish the water that they will serve to their guests on their special day.

"Happily Ever After"

This grand wedding was held in October 2006 at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. It appears to have truly been a fairytale wedding complete with a horse and carriage. This is just one of the fabulous "real weddings" highlighted on the Grace Ormande Wedding Style website. Notice the personalized aisle runner??? And they lived happily ever after.......

"Unbridled" Fall Blooms

I love the fall and it is my absolute favorite time of the year! October being my favorite month and coincidentally also the month of my wedding anniversary and my darling son's birthday. With that being said, I absolutely adore the wonderful warm fall tones used in this stunning table centerpiece that I found while perusing Michelle Rago's fabulous website. Although, very traditional and conservative in styling, the centerpiece is elegant and understated and the beautiful warm hues exude all that fall has to offer. I also love the simple equestrian inspired table cards placed upon each tabletop. Incorporating these types of small intricate details can truly add a personalized touch and provide a cohesive look throughout your event.

Company Logo Creation

A custom company logo can speak volumes to your customer as to who you are and how you would like to be viewed as a business. It can create or strengthen your identity and put you at the forefront of your industry. Below is a logo that I created several months back for Nicole and her event planning business. She wanted a fun and trendy design, yet still wanted to also project an elegant, professional and sophistated look for her company and the image that she projects to her clientele and I believe that what I designed for her is just that. I created two similar, slightly edgy designs for her to choose from for her signature company logo. She was thrilled with the end results and cannot wait to start using the logo in all of her company marketing materials. Here are the final designs.

Monograms

Monograms are everywhere these days and are a fabulous way to personalize your special event. They can be used to embellish save-the-dates, invitations, programs, menu cards, favor labels and more!
