Ashley Taylor Agency - Newsletter Layout

I recently was contacted by Brooke Andrews with Ashley Taylor Agency to create a custom newsletter design to promote their amazing holiday and special event entertainment services. The Ashley Taylor Agency is a local company in the DFW area that provides a large array of specialized talent and entertainment services varying from live bands to themed costumed characters and everything in-between that can truly add a exclusive element of personalization to any of your special events. Here are the final results of the two newsletter designs that I created for Brooke and the amazingly talented team of entertainers over at the Ashley Taylor Agency. I absolutely loved working with Brooke on this special project and look forward to working together again in the future!

Simply Stunning!

I always love to see gorgeous floral displays and truly appreciate when I see all of the artistic designs that can be created using fresh floral, textured foliages, whispy branches and other select natural elements. I stumbled across these gorgeous creations today while visiting Michelle Rago's blog and absolutely had to share them here. All of these designs are created with towering Manzanita branches as the main structure and focal point and are all fabulously adorned with stunning floral designed in meticulous paves, clusters and gorgeous strands draped within the majestic branches. I just love this look and feel like it creates a truly dramatic appeal within any event.
Manaznita branches sprayed painted matte black draped with gorgeous strands of hyacinth blossoms and collared at the base with fragrant pink hyacinths and lush pink peony blooms.
Soft blue spray painted Manzanita branches embellished with groupings of coral charm peonies and collared at the base with both pink and coral peonies.
Manzanita branches festooned with striking white Phaleanopsis orchids.

Towering Manzanita structure adorned with lush white hydrangea blooms and delicate white Phaleanopsis orchid stems.

Bashful Bliss

Check out this gorgeous wedding board from Elizabeth Anne. The luminous color palette of blush pinks, soft peaches and sunny yellow tones is simply striking and definitely radiates an ultra-sophisticated and vintage appeal. I love the elegant procession of floral arrangements and glowing candlelight placed down the center of the table and I am absolutely in awe over the stunning bouquets designed solely with gorgeous Ranunculus blooms and collared with delicate Nerine Lilies. What bride wouldn't want to carry such a gorgeous bouquet as she promenades down the aisle? I just completely adore everything about this board!

New Save-the-Date Design - Tiffany and Joshua

I recently created an absolutely adorable and slightly whimsical save the date for Tiffany and Joshua to announce their upcoming wedding next year. This special couple will be having a lovely outdoor affair next spring and wanted a youthful and modern look for their save-the-date postcards, but also wanted them to reflect a fun and flirty appeal as well. Tiffany especially wanted their save-the-dates to be ultra-feminine and girly as she always refers to herself as the ultimate girly-girl. Using a vibrant color palette of varying shades of pink accented by crisp, clean white tones this special announcement truly came alive with the delicate flourishes and oh-so pretty and definitely quintessential girly butterfly accent that acted as a central focus point within the design.

Delovely Loves.....

Today I would like to spotlight these gorgeous, ultra-feminine and perfectly delicate custom hair embellishments created by the uber-talented Myra with Twigs & Honey. I am completely in love with her wonderful creations and I absolutely adore all of the varying textural elements within each unique piece. I am particularly fond of the seemingly soft laces, ribbon and feather accents that adorn each piece. Absolutely stunning indeed!

Gobo Lighting

A very popular trend for wedding reception lighting these days is having a custom laser cut gobo created to illuminate a stunning design onto a dancefloor, wall or other area within your wedding reception. Most often gobo designs consist of the couple's first names or their three-letter monogram, however it can truly be anything you want it to be in all actuality. In fact, you can even have custom gobo's cut with interesting designs such as flourishes, snowflakes, flowers, leaves, hearts or other decorative elements that can then be displayed somewhere throughout the reception area. It's your day and it's truly up to you! Here are a couple of examples of gobo lighting using monograms....

I have actually created quite a few custom monogram designs for brides intending to use them for gobo's and here is one that I did recently for the lovely Danielle. We having been working together for quite some time now on all of her wedding stationary products and I absolutely love this simple, yet extremely elegant design that will be used as her gobo for her special day!

Vows that Wow Event

I attended the W Hotel and Modern Luxury Dallas Brides Vows that Wow event earlier this evening and had a wonderful time. The Great Room at the W Hotel Dallas was transformed into a chic and ultra modern setting for this fabulous show and the evening went off most wonderfully! I especially loved the stunning bridal collection that was showcased during the Carolina Herrera runway show. The gowns were absolutely gorgeous and I was definitely impressed by the strong turnout from Dallas brides and the wedding industry in general. I cannot wait for the next wedding show as I always meet tons of wonderful people and see lots of interesting and new concepts for all areas of wedding planning and conceptual event design. Here are just a few of the striking bridal gowns that were shown tonight.

Create a "Crush Pad"

One of the biggest new trends in wedding receptions is creating a lounge area or "crush pad" for your guests to mingle and celebrate in a more laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. It also provides a nice intimate setting that allows your guests to step back and take a break from the restraints of their assigned table seating and get to kick back and simply just lounge around. :) I love these examples for simple, yet elegant and completely functional seating options that could provide inspiration for your very own crush pad design.

Custom Wedding Invitation Design - Jennifer and Adam

A few months back, Jennifer contacted me to design a custom invitation set for her and her fiance, Adam's upcoming wedding. I have previously shared one of the several monogram designs that I created for her that she actually used to have a custom embroidered dress label made for the inside of her wedding gown, but I also wanted to finally share the special invitation designs that I created for this special couple as well. As I previously mentioned, Jennifer and Adam are both avid outdoor lovers and have a strong passion for fishing as one of their favorite past times. This couple is wild about fishing and anything outdoorsy and Adam even proposed using a fishing rod with Jennifer's engagement ring attached as a lure! For this reason, Jennifer had her heart set on an elegant invitation design and wanted to implement some delicate scrolls and flourishes into the look, but wanted fishing to be the overall theme for the invitations. With this in mind, I created the following designs for Jennifer and Adam using their selected wedding colors of rich green tones with chocolate brown text and used their love for fishing as the sole inspiration behind the designs.
Cover page of the invitation design. Jennifer was going to use a wide ribbon banding to bound the invitation inserts together for a pretty, finished look.
Main invitation Design
I also designed an accomodations insert and directions insert as well.
Postcard style RSVP with a soft buttery yellow toned background.

Benton's First Holy Communion Invitation

Kristine contacted me recently to design some custom items for her son, Benton's upcoming First Holy Communion Service and I created a custom invitation, rsvp card, monograms and bookmark design for her son's special day. Kristine wanted an elegant and classic design with a religious element included within the design, but done so in a very formal and sophisticated manner. I loved creating these designs for Kristine and I am so thrilled that she was very pleased and loved the end results of all of these special details for her son's special day. She plans on creating the custom bookmarks to give to her guests as a special token to take home with them as a reminder of Benton's First Holy Communion service.
